At this year’s Annual Summit of Young Global Leaders, held in Singapore, Nino Enukidze, the rector of Business and Technology University (BTU), presented the AI4Globe initiative and discussed the importance of integrating future technologies into the educational sector.
AI4Globe, a project initiated by BTU, aims to promote artificial intelligence literacy on a global scale. Its target groups include academia, businesses, women, children, and adolescents. To support these groups, BTU has already launched training and re-training programs. AI4Globe is poised to become one of the first innovative educational projects exported worldwide. The initiative is supported by key international organizations such as the United Nations Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (UNICRI), UN Women, UNICEF, the European Business Association (EBA), as well as leading European universities and innovation hubs.
During her address, Enukidze emphasized the transformative potential of AI, the need for its ethical and responsible use, and the importance of international collaboration to enhance digital literacy and promote economic well-being. She also highlighted the necessity of mitigating risks associated with AI, such as breaches of data protection and cybersecurity standards.
Enukidze also introduced BTUAI, a unique Georgian-language AI platform developed by BTU. This platform aims to disseminate AI knowledge and skills to students and professionals from various sectors. She outlined the platform’s future goals, which include supporting public, educational, and private sectors. BTUAI is designed to facilitate the integration of AI into daily life and optimize business processes through automation and effective AI implementation.
It is noteworthy that Nino Enukidze was named one of the Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum in 2024, making her the sole representative from Georgia. The ranking, updated every three years, identifies around 100 leaders worldwide who are recognized for their global vision and ability to address critical challenges facing the world today. This prestigious acknowledgment underscores Enukidze’s leadership and innovative contributions to the global dialogue on education and technology.
